At Vital Global, we are a faith-based nonprofit organization dedicated to connecting people in communities worldwide with the resources they need to transform themselves, their families, and their hometowns and villages. Our focus lies in community development and spiritual transformation, addressing fundamental needs such as access to clean water while equipping local leaders to guide their families, friends, and neighbors closer to Christ.
Led by Dr. Glenn Young, the pastor of First Baptist Church of Kilgore, our volunteer board drives Vital Global’s mission to extend the impact of the church beyond its walls and reputation. Recognizing that our work encompasses both spiritual and community development, we established a separate organization to provide a platform for focused outreach beyond the traditional role of the church in the mission field.
We believe in addressing tangible needs, such as clean water, lack of food, education, and spiritual growth.
Clean water is the cornerstone of our outreach efforts. By connecting communities to affordable and sustainable water filtration equipment, such as the Sawyer Water Filter, we empower families to take control of their water source. Unlike centralized systems, this approach allows each family to manage their own water, ensuring long-term sustainability and resilience.
Nourishing the body, nourishing the spirit.
In addition to clean water initiatives, Vital Global is deeply committed to nurturing the spiritual growth of local communities. We provide training programs for pastors in Honduras, equipping them to lead their congregations effectively. We adapt our resources to meet the needs of individuals at different levels, ensuring accessibility as they learn to access the Bible in their own written language. By investing in local leaders and churches, we strive to create sustainable paths forward.
Recognizing that physical and spiritual well-being go hand in hand, we collaborate with other nonprofits worldwide to address the interconnected challenges of poverty, hunger, and displacement. We support local churches in providing meals and assistance to communities living at the subsistence level, establishing ongoing connections that foster relationships and trust. When possible, our mission teams with construction experience lend a helping hand, maximizing the impact of every available resource.
